Magna Carta is a progressive rock / folk rock group, originally formed in London in April 1969. [1] . Their first concert was on 10 May 1969, by Chris Simpson (guitar, vocals), Lyell Tranter (guitar, vocals), and Glen Stuart (b. Alastair Urquhart, vocals). [2]
1 de sept. de 2005 · They will be joined on stage by Matt Barnhoorn, a friend and superbly talented musician, who guests with Fairport Convention when they are in Holland. He plays mandolin and fiddle. Don’t Stop Me is currently climbing to be a radio hit in Holland and may be included.
Magna Carta performed with the British folk-rock band Fairport Convention in The Netherlands in 2002. Whilst there they met a young Dutch violinist/mandolin player named Matthijs (“Matt”) Barnhoorn. They clicked immediately and soon Matt became a member of the band. Magna Carta was a trio once again.
Ondertussen maakt ook een Nederlander deel uit van de groep: Matt Barnhoorn, die onder andere viool speelt. Op 11 mei 2009 bestaat Magna Carta veertig jaar. Op diezelfde dag stopt de groep ermee.
