Ernest Frederic Graham Thesiger, CBE (15 January 1879 – 14 January 1961) was an English stage and film actor. He is noted for his performance as Doctor Septimus Pretorius in James Whale 's film Bride of Frankenstein (1935).

Ernest Thesiger was an actor now primarily known for the two films he made with director James Whale, “The Old Dark House” (1932) and “Bride of Frankenstein” (1935), but in his time he was a tremendously popular and successful figure on the London stage, one of Bernard Shaw’s favorite actors.
