Gareth Langton John Forwood (14 October 1945 – 16 October 2007) was a British stage, film and television actor. Forwood was the only child of actors Glynis Johns and Anthony Forwood. He made his screen debut in 1965 and went on to prosper as a character actor with over 40 credits in film, television and theatre.
Gareth Forwood, himself a stage, film and television performer, who died at the too young age of just 62, as a result of cancer, and later on a heart attack, was the only child of the very popular character actress Glynis Johns who lived to be 100.91 years of age before departing the scene on Thursday 4 January 2024.

Their only child was actor Gareth Forwood (1945–2007). Forwood later lived with his long-term lover, actor Dirk Bogarde, in Amersham, England, and then in France before the couple returned to England shortly before Forwood died in London in 1988. Death. By 1987, Forwood was dying of liver cancer and Parkinson's disease.
