  3. Spencer ('Freddie') Gore died only aged 35 of pneumonia just before the First World War in 1914. A promising student at the Slade School of Art, he became a very close friend of Walter Sickert and was right at the centre of the Fitzroy and Camden Town groups that also included Harold Gilman and Charles Ginner.
