Yefim Petróvich Géler, también anglicanizado como Efim Petrovich Geller (en ruso Ефи́м Петро́вич Ге́ллер; Odesa, 2 de marzo de 1925-Moscú, 17 de noviembre de 1998) [1] , fue un ajedrecista soviético.
Geller es uno de los más altos referentes del ajedrez ucraniano de toda su historia. Se mantuvo entre los diez mejores jugadores del mundo durante unos veinte años.
Efim Petrovich Geller ( Russian: Ефим Петрович Геллер; Ukrainian: Юхим Петрович Геллер; 8 March 1925 – 17 November 1998) was a Soviet chess player and world-class grandmaster at his peak. He won the Soviet Championship twice (in 1955 and 1979) and was a Candidate for the World Championship on six occasions (1953, 1956, 1962, 1965, 1968, and 1971).
Efim Petrovich Geller nació el 8 de Marzo de 1925, en Odessa (Ucrania). Falleció el 17 de Noviembre de 1998. Personalmente no tenía a Geller por un jugador de ataque, pero un comentario de Kasparov en uno de sus libros despertó mi curiosidad.
