William Harridge (October 16, 1883 – April 9, 1971) was an American executive in professional baseball whose most significant role was as president of the American League (AL) from 1931 to 1959. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veterans Committee in 1972.

29 de ene. de 2012 · Though he claimed never to have played the game of baseball, nor to have watched a game before the age of 30, Will Harridge’s 59 years of service to the American League earned him a plaque in the Baseball Hall of Fame. He served as league president for 27 years, as long as Ban Johnson, for whom he worked as a secretary for many years.
Will Harridge. As a Wabash Railroad ticket agent, Harridge handled travel arrangements for the AL until Ban Johnson hired him as his private secretary, a position he held from 1911 to 1927. When Johnson resigned as AL president, Harridge became league secretary.
