Joseph Isaac Clanton (c.1847 – June 1, 1887) was a member of a loose association of outlaws known as The Cowboys who clashed with lawmen Wyatt, Virgil and Morgan Earp as well as Doc Holliday.

11 de nov. de 2020 · He was shot and killed on June 1st, 1887 near Eagle Creek in the White Mountains of eastern AZ. Two lawmen, Jake Brighton and Albert Miller, were attempting to arrest him for cattle theft at Jim “Peg Leg” Wilson’s ranch. Suddenly, Ike wheeled his horse around and bolted toward a thick stand of trees nearby.
22 de dic. de 2023 · Ike Clanton filed murder charges against the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday after the O.K. Corral gunfight, leading to their arrest and release on bail. After failing to get the Earps prosecuted, Clanton led a group to assassinate Virgil Earp, leaving him handicapped for life.
