Arthur Schmidt, the go-to film editor of Robert Zemeckis and two-time Oscar winner for his work on Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Forrest Gump, died on Saturday at this home in Santa Barbara. He was 86. "Arthur Schmidt was incredibly talented and a joy to work with," Zemeckis said in a statement.
Arthur Schmidt (25 October 1895 – 5 November 1987) was an officer in the German military from 1914 to 1943.
