A novelized version of the film's story, written by Russell Holman, was published in 1928. In 1942, Paramount released a second version of Monte Brice and J. Walter Ruben's scenario, also entitled The Fleet's In (see AFI Catalog of Feature Films, 1941-50 ).
The Fleet's In is a 1942 movie musical produced by Paramount Pictures, directed by Victor Schertzinger, and starring Dorothy Lamour and William Holden. Although sharing the title of the 1928 Paramount film starring Clara Bow and Jack Oakie, it was not a remake.
