“True” story of infamous gangster, Arnold Rothstein, a brilliant and ruthless gambler who practically ran New York in the '20s. This version of his life focuses on his rise to power, the dealings with his enemies, and his crumbling personal life. Superficial due mostly to the weak screenplay.
The gambler (David Janssen) marries an actress (Dianne Foster), avenges his buddy (Mickey Rooney) and meets an underworld fate.
