Ironchrist is an American crossover/thrash metal band founded in 1986 from the demise of the punk rock band Spastic Rats. Along with label mates Indestroy, Ironchrist was one of the biggest metal bands of the late 80s to early 90s in the mid-Atlantic region and considered a pioneer of the punk/metal crossover movement.
Self-Titled mini-LP (front) If I remember correctly, Tristan created this album cover with an exacto knife and elmer's glue. I believe the 'Iron Christ' character is actually 'The Terminator' after his skin was removed. He cut off the limbs and placed them on the cross. I'm sure plenty of Xerox'ing and white-out were involved as well.

Ironchrist. United States. Another one of our favorite bands from the “who the f*** were they?” category. Blending the raw and unfiltered aggression of punk with the technical skills and forward-thinking songwriting of thrash metal, IRONCHRIST should have become a household name.
After a rather short and mostly mind-lapsing career, the only real mystery that surrounds this Maryland trio now is if their moniker is truly cool Ironchrist or more pedestrian Iron Christ. Either way a cool name, though as a single word it just seems more capable of stopping traffic.
