Ralph Joseph Gleason (1 de marzo de 1917 - 3 de junio de 1975) fue un crítico musical y columnista estadounidense. Contribuyó durante muchos años al San Francisco Chronicle, fue editor fundador de la revista Rolling Stone y cofundador del Festival de Jazz de Monterey.
By the dawn of the 1960s, Ralph J. Gleason was recognized as one of the pioneers of jazz criticism. His first reviews appeared in 1934 within the college newspaper at Columbia University, and a few years later, he launched “Jazz Information”, one of the first jazz periodicals in the United States.
