Henry Grey, 1st Duke of Kent, KG, PC (1671 – 5 June 1740) was a British politician and courtier. None of his sons outlived him, so his new title became extinct on his death. Though the house he built at Wrest Park in Bedfordshire has gone, parts of his very grand garden have survived relatively untouched.

Henry Grey, 11th Baron Grey de Ruthyn, 8th Earl of Kent (1583–1639) On his death the Earldom of Kent passed to his cousin as heir male of the 1st Earl of Kent while the Barony of Grey of Ruthin passed to his nephew, Charles Longueville, as heir general of the 1st Baron Grey of Ruthin. See below.

Henry de Grey, 1st Duke of Kent, was the son of Anthony Grey, 11th Earl of Kent, and Mary Lucas, 1st Baroness Lucas of Crudwell. He succeeded his father as 12th Earl of Kent in August 1702, and his mother as 2nd Baron Lucas of Crudwell in November of the same year.
