Steven D. Poulin (born January 1, 1962) is a retired United States Coast Guard admiral who served as the 33rd Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard from 2022 to 2024. He most recently served as commander of the Coast Guard Atlantic Area and Coast Guard Defense Force East from 2020 to 2022.
Admiral Steven D. Poulin assumed the duties as the 33 rd Vice Commandant on May 31 st, 2022. As the Vice Service Chief and Chief Operating Officer, Admiral Poulin executes the Commandant’s Strategic Intent, manages internal organizational governance and serves as the Component Acquisition Executive.

Rear Admiral Poulin assumed the duties of Commander, First Coast Guard District in May 2016. He oversees all Coast Guard missions across eight states in the Northeast including over 2,000 miles of coastline from the U.S.-Canadian border to northern New Jersey and 1300 miles offshore.
