Ali Soilih M'Tsashiwa (Arabic: علي صويلح; January 7, 1937 – May 29, 1978) was a Comorian socialist revolutionary and political figure who served as the 3rd President of the Comoros from 3 January 1976 to 13 May 1978.
Ali Soilih Mtsashiwa nació en 1937 en Majunga, Madagascar, donde pasó gran parte de su infancia antes de viajar a Francia y continuar con sus estudios. Durante los años 60 se trasladó a Comoras para trabajar como agricultor hasta que en 1970 entró a formar parte de la vida política del país.
1 de ene. de 2019 · Ali Soilih was head of state from 1976–78. His rule was marked by continued hostility between France and the Comoros. His radical attempts to reform the country against a backdrop of economic instability led to diminishing support among the Comoran populace.
15 de may. de 2023 · Ali Soilih became president and attempted to convert the country into a secular socialist republic. In May 1978 a coup led by a French citizen, Col. Robert Denard, and a group of European mercenaries brought Abdallah, the exiled former president, back into power.

Ali Soilih Mtsashiwa was born in 1937 in Majunga (Madagascar), where he spent most of his childhood before travelling to France to continue his studies. During the 1960s, he moved to Comoros in order to work as a farmer until entering the nation´s political world in 1970.
