Levin August Gottlieb Theophil von Bennigsen (en ruso: Лео́нтий Лео́нтьевич Бе́ннигсен, Leontiy Leontyevich Bennigsen; 10 de febrero de 1745, Braunschweig - 3 de diciembre de 1826, Banteln) fue un general alemán al servicio del Imperio ruso.
Bennigsen made a name for himself in Russian history as the man who fought Napoleon Bonaparte with distinction at the Battle of Eylau; but, suffering from ill-health, he was then defeated at Friedland several months later.
Levin August von Bennigsen was born on February 10, 1745 in Brunswick, Electorate of Hanover. He fought as General then Field Marshal of the Russian Army during Napoleonic Wars. He died on October 3rd, 1826 in Banteln, Hanover.

Graf Levin August Theophil von Bennigsen war ein Offizier aus dem niedersächsischen Adelsgeschlecht der Bennigsen. Er stand zunächst in kurfürstlich-hannoverschen Diensten und wurde später General der Kavallerie der russischen Armee. Er gilt als Initiator und Mitverschwörer des Attentats auf Zar Paul I.
The Battle of Eylau, or Battle of Preussisch-Eylau, was a bloody and strategically inconclusive battle on 7 and 8 February 1807 between Napoleon's Grande Armée and the Imperial Russian Army under the command of Levin August von Bennigsen near the town of Preussisch Eylau in East Prussia.
