John Winston Spencer-Churchill, 7th Duke of Marlborough, KG, PC (2 June 1822 – 4 July 1883), styled Earl of Sunderland from 1822 to 1840 and Marquess of Blandford from 1840 to 1857, was a British Conservative cabinet minister, politician, peer, and nobleman.
Biography. John Winston Spencer Churchill, 7th Duke of Marlborough (1822-83), son of the 6th Duke, was a Conservative politician. As Marquess of Blandford he was M.P. for Woodstock, 1844-45 and 1847-57. Churchill was Lord Steward of the Household, 1866-67, and Lord President of the Council in Benjamin Disraeli's government, 1867-68.

Biographical / Historical. John Spencer-Churchill was born on 2 June 1822, eldest son of the 6th Duke and his first wife, Jane. He was educated at Eton and Oriel College, University of Oxford and in 1843 married Lady Frances Vane, having eleven children.
Churchill, John Winston Spencer (1822–83), 7th duke of Marlborough and lord lieutenant of Ireland (1876–80), was born 2 June 1822 at Garboldisham Hall, Norfolk, eldest son of George Spencer Churchill (1793–1857), 6th duke, and his wife Lady Jane (1798–1844), daughter of George Stewart, 8th earl of Galloway.
