General Deepak Kapoor PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, ADC (b. 1948) served as the 22nd Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army, appointed on 30 September 2007 and Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee appointed on 31 August 2009.
Deepak Kapoor began his term as the Chairman of PwC India on 1 January 2011. He has been with the Indian firm for more than 35 years, having joined in 1978 as an articled trainee. Deepak became a partner with the firm in 1991 and was the Managing Director from 2007 till he was elected as the Chairman in 2011.
