Francis Seymour-Conway, 1st Marquess of Hertford, KG, PC, PC (Ire) (5 July 1718 – 14 June 1794) of Ragley Hall, Arrow, in Warwickshire, was a British courtier and politician who, briefly, was Viceroy of Ireland where he had substantial estates.
Francis Seymour (1679–1732) was the fourth son of Sir Edward Seymour of Berry Pomeroy, 4th Baronet, a descendant of Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset (Sir Edward's grandson Sir Edward Seymour, 6th Baronet, of Berry Pomeroy succeeded as 8th Duke of Somerset in 1750).

Conway, Francis Seymour- (1718?–94), 1st marquess of Hertford , nobleman and politician, was born 5 July 1718 (or in 1719), at Lindsey House, Chelsea, London, son and heir of Francis Seymour, later Seymour-Conway, 1st Lord Conway, and his third wife, Charlotte Conway (née Shorter).
30 de nov. de 2023 · Francis Seymour-Conway, 1st Marquess of Hertford was a descendant of Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset and his first wife Catharine Fillol. Their marriage was annulled and their children declared illegitimate. Their son Sir Edward Seymour (d. 6 May 1593) later served as a Sheriff of Devon.

Francis Seymour-Conway, 1st Baron Conway (1679–1732) third son of Sir Edward Seymour of Berry Pomeroy, 4th Baronet. Francis succeeded to the estates of his mother’s relative Edward Conway, 1st Earl of Conway, and assumed the same year by Royal license the additional surname of Conway. Marquesses of Hertford.

Lord Conway died in February 1732 in Lisburn, aged 52, and was succeeded by his eldest son by his third wife, Francis Seymour-Conway, who was created Earl of Hertford in 1750 and Marquess of Hertford in 1793.
