Ekvtime Takaishvili (also spelled Taqaishvili, Georgian: ექვთიმე თაყაიშვილი; January 5, 1862 – February 21, 1953) was a Georgian historian, archaeologist and public benefactor.
ექვთიმე თაყაიშვილის პირველ სამეცნიერო ნაბიჯებს მტკიცე ნიადაგი მოუმზადა ისტორიკოსმა დიმიტრი ბაქრაძემ, რომელსაც ექვთიმე შეხვდა გიმნაზიაში მასწავლებლობის დაწყებიდან ერთ წელიწადში. 1889 წელს მათ ერთად დააარსეს საქართველოს საეგზარქოსო მუზეუმი.

Historian, archaeologist, public figure. E kvtime Takaishvili was born to a local nobleman in the small village of Likhauri, the province of Guria, on 5 January 1963. Ekvtime’s father - Simon Takaishvili was a cordon officer and mother – Nino Nakashidze - one of the outstanding women of the Uyezd.
Takaishvili Ekvtime (1863–1953), Historian, philologist, archeologist and public figure. Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Georgia (1946), one of the participants in founding the Tbilisi University (1918) and one of its first professors (1918-21, 1945).
