Meinhardt Schomberg, 3rd Duke of Schomberg, 1st Duke of Leinster, KG (30 June 1641 – 16 July [O.S. 5 July] 1719), was a general in the service of Willem, Prince of Orange and Stadtholder of Holland, later King William III of England.

2 de abr. de 2024 · Meinhard Schomberg, 3rd Duke of Schomberg and Leinster, army officer, was buried in the Ormond vault at the east end of the Lady Chapel in Westminster Abbey on 4th August 1719. His name was inscribed on the vaultstone in the 19th century but unfortunately this is now covered by a carpet in what is now the RAF chapel.

SCHOMBERG, MEINHARD, Duke of Leinster and third Duke of Schomberg (1641–1719), third son of Frederick Herman, duke of Schomberg [q. v.], was born at Cologne on 30 June 1641. He served with his father in Portugal as lieutenant-colonel from 1660 to 1668, and on his return to France was naturalised a French subject.
