Marfisa d'Este (c.1554 in Ferrara – 16 October 1608 in Ferrara) was a Ferrarese noblewoman. She was the illegitimate daughter of Francesco d'Este and Maria Folch de Cardona. She and her sister Bradamante (born 1559) were legitimised by both pope Gregory XIII and Alfonso II d'Este.

Suoi nonni paterni erano i duchi di Ferrara Alfonso I d'Este e Lucrezia Borgia. Fu riconosciuta, assieme alla sorella Bradamante d'Este (nata nel 1559), sia da Papa Gregorio XIII, sia da Alfonso II d'Este.

The Villa is a splendid example of a 16th-century high-class residence and was once surrounded by magnificent gardens that connected it to other buildings known as Casini di San Silvestro.

Palazzina di Marfisa d'Este. This palace of Marfisa d'Este can be visited in 30 minutes. It is open again after the Covid-19 closure. We were wearing a face mask during the visit. It was possible to make a reservation but not necessary. 15 visitors are allowed at one time.
