  5. 20 de nov. de 2020 · Titanic Third Officer John Herbert “Bert” Pitman. In 1895 the 18-year-old Pitman joined the Merchant Navy. In May 1900 he passed the examination for second mate. In June 1902 he qualified as a master mariner in August 1906. Pitman joined White Star Line sometime in around 1906.
