Ömer Fahrettin Türkkan, más conocido como Fahreddin Pashá o Fakhri Pashá (Ruse, 1868 - 22 de noviembre de 1948) fue un militar turco, miembro del Ejército Otomano y gobernador de Medina entre 1916 y 1919.
Ömer Fahrettin Türkkan (1868-1948), commonly known as Fakhri Pasha and nicknamed the Defender of Medina, was a Turkish career officer who commanded Ottoman forces and served as governor of Medina from 1916 to 1919.
Fahreddin Paşa, “Takdîr-i ilâhî, rızâ-yı peygamberî ve irâde-i pâdişâhî şeref-müteallik oluncaya kadar Medine müdafaası devam edecektir” diyordu; İngilizler’le Araplar’a teslim olmaktansa Hz. Peygamber’in merkadini havaya uçurarak kendisini feda edeceğine dair yemin ediyordu.

Fahreddin was one of the Turkish officers who went to Libya in 1911-1912 to fight against the Italians and when the Balkan War broke out, he was appointed as the commander of the 31st Division in Gallipoli.
2 de dic. de 2023 · Fahreddin Bey, who initially served in the General Staff (Erkan-ı Harbiye), participated as the regiment commander attached to Hursit Pasha’s 10th Corps in the Balkan War. He played a significant role in the recapture of Edirne under the command of Enver Bey.
