Peniston Lamb, 1st Viscount Melbourne (29 January 1745 – 22 July 1828), known as Sir Peniston Lamb, 2nd Baronet, from 1768 to 1770, was a British politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1768 to 1793.
The Honourable Peniston Lamb (3 May 1770 – 24 January 1805) was a British politician.

Biography. Handsome and indolent, ‘Pen’ Lamb, unlike his younger brothers, resembled his father, who indulged him with an allowance of £5,000 p.a. He accepted the public career anticipated for him by his parents, though not well prepared for it. His brother William recalled:
