Kevin J. Rooney (born January 13, 1960) is an American Republican Party politician who represented the 40th Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly from 2016 to 2024. Rooney served in the General Assembly as Deputy Republican Whip from 2021 to 2022 and served as the Deputy Minority Conference Leader from 2022 to 2024. [2]
I take my job as Assemblyman very seriously. I am entrusted with the formidable task of not only representing the 220,000-plus people in District 40, but 8.9 million people throughout the state on issues from flooding to property taxes and business development to drug abuse.
