Thomas Fairfax, 5th Lord Fairfax of Cameron (16 April 1657 – 6 January 1710) was an English Army officer, politician and peer.
He was the son of Reverend Henry Fairfax, second son of the first Lord, and notably represented Yorkshire in the House of Commons. His son, the fifth Lord, sat as a Member of Parliament for Malton and Yorkshire. He was succeeded by his son, the sixth Lord.
Thomas Fairfax, 6th Lord Fairfax of Cameron (22 October 1693 – 9 December 1781) was a British peer, military officer and planter. The only member of the British peerage to reside in Britain's North American colonies, Fairfax owned the Northern Neck Proprietary in the colony of Virginia, where he spent the majority of his life.

Thomas Fairfax, 5th Lord Fairfax of Cameron (1657-1710) was the son of Henry Fairfax, 4th Lord Fairfax of Cameron and Frances Barwick. He married Catherine Colepeper, daughter of Thomas Colepeper, 2nd Lord Colepeper, Baron of Thoresway and Margaret van Hesse, circa 1685.
Biography. As colonel of the Yorkshire militia in 1688 Fairfax had been active with the Earl of Danby (Sir Thomas Osborne†) in the rising in the north. In February 1690 he was returned unopposed for Yorkshire.
