Olayinka Herbert Samuel Heelas Badmus Macaulay // ⓘ (14 November 1864 – 7 May 1946) was a Nigerian nationalist, politician, surveyor, engineer, architect, journalist, and musician and is considered by many Nigerians as the founder of Nigerian nationalism.
Herbert Macaulay (1864-1945) was a Nigerian political leader. One of the first leaders of the Nigerian opposition to British colonial rule, he was also a civil engineer, journalist, and accomplished musician.

Sir Herbert Macauley (1864-1946) was a Yoruba Nigerian nationalist, political activist, and engineer who founded the Nigerian National Democratic Party (NNDP). Macauley was also the grandson of Samuel Ajayi Crowther, the first African bishop in the Anglican Church.
