William Bellinger Hawks (January 29, 1901 – January 10, 1969) was an American film producer. Career. Hawks attended Yale University, [1] [3] where he was a member of Scroll and Key [4] and graduated in 1923. [5] [6] [7] In his early career, Hawks was a stockbroker.
William B. Hawks was born on 29 January 1901 in Neenah, Wisconsin, USA. He was a producer, known for My Life with Caroline (1941), The Last Wagon (1956) and Imitation General (1958). He was married to Frances Lilian Koshland, Virginia Walker and Bessie Love.

In 1940, the two men, along with William Hawks (the brother of the legendary director Howard Hawks), and director Anatole Litvak formed United Producers Corporation, which was obviously intended as a sort of second-tier United Artists, the groundbreaking production company run by Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford, and D.W. Griffith.
