Frederick I of Liegnitz (3 May 1446 – 9 May 1488), was a Duke of Chojnów and Strzelin from 1453, of Oława and Legnica from 1454, of Brzeg from 1481 and of Lubin from 1482.

The Battle of Liegnitz on 15 August 1760 saw Frederick the Great's Prussian Army defeat the Austrian army under Ernst von Laudon during the Third Silesian War (part of the Seven Years' War). The armies collided around the town of Liegnitz (now Legnica, Poland) in Lower Silesia.

Frederick I Piast of Legnica, Duke of Lubin, Duke of Strzelin, Duke of Chojnow, Duke of Brzeg, Duke of Olawa, Duke of Legnica, was born 3 May 1446 to Jan I of Lubin (1425-c1453) and Hedwig of Brzeg (c1433-1471) and died 9 May 1488 of unspecified causes.
