Margaret, Countess of Vertus (French: Marguerite d'Orléans; 4 December 1406 – 1466), was a French vassal, ruling Countess of Vertus and Etampes 1420–1466. She was the daughter of Louis I, Duke of Orléans, and Valentina Visconti.

Margaret of Valois (French: Marguerite, 14 May 1553 – 27 March 1615), popularly known as La Reine Margot, was a French princess of the Valois dynasty who became Queen of Navarre by marriage to Henry III of Navarre and then also Queen of France at her husband's 1589 accession to the latter throne as Henry IV.
Died in 1466; daughter of Valentina Visconti (1366–1408) and Louis (1372–1407), duke of Orléans; married Richard of Brittany also known as Richard Montfort, count of Etampes or d'Etampes (d.1438); sister-in-law of Joanna of Navarre (c. 1370–1437); children: Francis II, duke of Brittany (r. 1458–1488); Catherine of Brittany (1428–c. 1476).
Biography. Son of King Charles V (q.v.); Duke of Orléans from 1392; married Valentina Visconti in 1369; their surviving children were Charles, Duke of Orléans (1394-1465), Philippe Count of Vertus (1396-1420), Jean Count of Angoulême (1404-1467), and Marguerite Countess of Vertus (1406-1466).
