  4. Nasir-ud-Din Mahmud Shah Tughluq died in February 1413. The succeeding sultan of the Delhi Sultanate was Khizr Khan, the first of the Sayyid dynasty. Khizr Khan was the governor of Multan and he was appointed as the Sultan of Delhi by Timur himself. Khizr Khan had to pay tribute however to the Timurids at Samarkand .

  6. 1. Introduction. Ghiyasuddin Tughlaq was the founder of the Tughlaq dynasty in 1320. The Tughlaqs belonged to the Qurauna Turk tribe. The Tughlaqs provided three competent rulers: Ghiyasuddin, his son Muhammad Bin Tughlaq and his nephew Firoz Shah Tuglaq. The first two sultans ruled over an empire which comprised almost the entire country.

  7. 3 de ene. de 2005 · Khizr Kahn was the founder of the Sayyid dynasty. After the death of Mahmud Tughluq, the last ruler of the Tughluq dysasty, Daulat Khan Lodhi was enthroned by the nobles. But Khizr Khan who had been appointed by Timur as governor of Lahore, defeated him and occupied the throne in 1414.
