Anna of Saxony (23 December 1544 – 18 December 1577) was the heiress of Maurice, Elector of Saxony, and Agnes, eldest daughter of Philip I, Landgrave of Hesse. Maurice's only son, Albert, died in infancy. Anna was the second wife of William the Silent.

Anna von Sachsen (1544–1577) The only child of of Maurice (1521–1553), elector of Saxony and Agnes of Hesse (1527–1555), Anna was born in Dresden in 1544. Following the death of her parents, she was placed under the guardianship of her grandfather Philip of Hesse and her uncle Augustus of Saxony.
Through her marriage to Archduke Ferdinand, Grand Prince of Tuscany, Anna was a member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine and an Archduchess and Princess of Austria and Princess of Hungary, Croatia, Bohemia, and Tuscany.
