Shrimant Raja, Sir Chintamanrao Dhundirao Patwardhan KCSI, KCIE, PB (14 February 1890 - 11 February 1965) also known as Appasaheb Patwardhan was the 3rd Raja of the princely state of Sangli of British Raj during the reign (15 June 1903 – 19 February 1948 ) (but officially with full power's on 5 June 1910).

The First Chintamanrao Appasaheb Patwardhan established a different principality with Sangli as the capital city. On 5 May 1819 Sangli State became a British protectorate. Its territory was widely scattered among other native states and British districts.

Her grandfather is Chintamanrao Dhundirao Patwardhan, the last ruling Raja of the princely state of Sangli. Her father, Vijay Singhrao Madhavrao Patwardhan, is the titular Raja of Sangli.
Sangli separated from Miraj in 1801, following a family quarrel between Chintamanrao Pandurangrao Patwardhan, and his paternal uncle, Gangadharrao Govindrao. The former had succeeded his childless elder brother as the sixth chief of Miraj in 1782.
