In the film, Hill Only appears in a handful of scenes, but one of them, appearing in the second half of the film, is quite important to the narrative. In real life, Hill attended the California Institute of Technology, graduating in 1942.
David L. Hill was an associate experimental physicist at the University of Chicago’s Metallurgical Laboratory (“Met Lab”) during the Manhattan Project. After graduating from the California Institute of Technology in 1942, Hill was recruited to join the Met Lab.
