Andrew Ranicki’s Homepage. Sadly Andrew Ranicki died in the early hours of 21st February, 2018. due to complications caused by acute myeloid leukaemia. His wife of 38 years, Ida Thompson, was with him. Andrew Ranicki's life and work was remembered at a memorial ceremony.
Andrew Alexander Ranicki (born Andrzej Aleksander Ranicki; 30 December 1948 – 21 February 2018) was a British mathematician who worked on algebraic topology. He was a professor of mathematics at the University of Edinburgh.
