André Marie Constant Duméril (Amiens, 1 de enero de 1774-Paris, 14 de agosto de 1860) fue un zoólogo y naturalista francés. Profesor de anatomía en el Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle de 1801 a 1812, cuando se hizo profesor de herpetología e ictiología. Su hijo Auguste Duméril fue también zoólogo.

14 de jun. de 2020 · André Marie Constant Duméril (1774 – 1860) was a French zoologist. He was professor of anatomy at the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle from 1801 to 1812, when he became professor of herpetology and ichthyology. His son Auguste Duméril was also a zoologist.
Named prosecteur in 1795 and then chief assistant in practical anatomy in 1799, he became professor of medicine in 1801 and retained this post until 1857. From 1812 to 1852 he was médecin des hôpitaux, and also in 1812 he inherited the extensive practice of his father-in-law, who was a well-known physician.
