In 1972, Circle moved to its Broadway home on 50th Street – the first new Broadway theatre in fifty years. The complex includes a three- or four-sided main theatre auditorium with a maximum capacity of 680 seats, classrooms, rehearsal studios and administrative offices.
The Circle in the Square Theatre is in the basement of Paramount Plaza. It was designed by Allen Sayles, with a lighting system designed by Jules Fisher. The Circle operates its own venue, which was originally known as the Circle in the Square–Joseph E. Levine Theatre.
