Rabbiters Rest - Off the back of the success of A Week of It and McPhail and Gadsby, Jon Gadsby was given his own gig, as writer of this gentle, rural-based sitcom.
The interior scenes for Rabbiter’s Rest are performed in front of an audience at the James Hay Theatre, twice each night with two different crowds. What we see on television is the best take of the night or an edit of the two, with outside location scenes added in.

Created by comedian Jon Gadsby, Rabbiters Rest was inspired by his time working as a bartender in the rural township of Dipton. In this episode, directed by Ginette McDonald, pub owner Murray (David Telford) and bartender Doreen (Sandra Rasmussen) spar with the curmudgeonly Snow (Bruce Allpress).
