Eva Aeppli ( Zofingen, Suiza, 2 de mayo de 1925- Honfleur, Francia, 4 de mayo de 2015) fue una artista, pintora y escultora suiza . Perteneció a la vanguardia parisina. 1 2 Contrajo matrimonio con Hans Leu desde 1946 hasta 1949, con Jean Tinguely, entre 1951 y 1960 y con Samuel Mercer desde 1962. Fue madre de Hans y Félix Leu.

Born on 2 May 1925 in Zofingen, Switzerland, [1] Aeppli spent her childhood in Basel where she attended the School of Decorative Arts. Her father was a Waldorf educator and child development author, Willi Aeppli, who worked with Rudolf Steiner. [2]

At the age of 16 she learned of the existence of concentration camps while reading Die Moorsoldaten (Peat Bog Soldiers, 1935) by Wolfgang Langhoff.
