Fujio Akatsuka (赤塚 不二夫 Akatsuka Fujio?, 14 de septiembre, 1935 - 2 de agosto de 2008) fue un conocido mangaka japonés. Nació en Rehe, Manchuria, hijo de una militar. Después de la guerra, se fue a vivir a la región de Niigata y posteriormente a Nara. Cuando tenía 19 años, se fue a vivir a la ciudad de Tokio.
Fujio Akatsuka (赤塚 藤雄, also known as 赤塚 不二夫, Akatsuka Fujio, September 14, 1935 – August 2, 2008) was a Japanese manga artist. Known as the Master of Gag Manga, he created many popular manga such as Osomatsu-kun, Himitsu no Akko-chan, and Tensai Bakabon.
Fujio Akatsuka was a pioneer Japanese artist of comical manga known as the Gag Manga King. He started his career as a shoujo artist, but in 1958, his Nama-chan became a hit, so he became a specialist in comedy manga. He won the Shogakukan Manga Award in 1964 for Osomatsu-kun and the Bungeishunjuu Manga Award in 1971 for Tensai Bakabon.
