Henry Tonks, FRCS (9 April 1862 – 8 January 1937) was a British surgeon and later draughtsman and painter of figure subjects, chiefly interiors, and a caricaturist. He became an influential art teacher.

Henry Tonks (1862-1937) se recibió de médico en Londres y fue elegido como Fellow del Royal College of Surgeons en 1888. Ese mismo año estudio arte en la Westminster School of Arts, comenzando a exhibir sus pinturas desde 1891, en el New English Art Club. Llegó a ser miembro del club en 1895, y comenzó a enseñar en la Slade School of fine art.
Henry Tonks (1862–1937) IWM (Imperial War Museums) (b Solihull, Warwickshire, 9 Apr. 1862; d London, 8 Jan. 1937). British painter, draughtsman, and teacher. He was interested in art from childhood, and in 1893 he abandoned his successful medical career to become a teacher at the Slade School.
