  6. 24 de abr. de 2014 · The son of shopkeepers, Abraham Mignon was born in Frankfurt and baptized in the Calvinist church on June 21, 1640. When his parents moved to Wetzlar in 1649, Mignon was placed under the care and artistic apprenticeship of Jacob Marrel (1614–1681), a still-life painter and art dealer.

  7. Abraham Mignon. Born in Frankfurt, Mignon (1640-1679) was originally apprenticed at the age of nine to the artist Jacob Marrell, who took his pupil with him when he moved from Germany to the Netherlands in 1664. From 1669 both artists are recorded as members of Utrecht’s St Luke's Guild.
