John Keats (AFI: [ʤɒn ki:ʦ]; Londres, 31 de octubre de 1795-Roma, 23 de febrero de 1821) fue uno de los principales poetas ingleses del Romanticismo. Durante su corta vida su obra fue objeto de constantes ataques y no fue sino hasta mucho después cuando fue completamente reivindicada.

John Keats (31 October 1795 – 23 February 1821) was an English poet of the second generation of Romantic poets, along with Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley. His poems had been in publication for less than four years when he died of tuberculosis at the age of 25.

Cursó estudios en el centro escolar de Clarke, en Enfield, y con quince años fue aprendiz de cirujano. Estudió Medicina de 1814 a 1816, año en que se hizo farmacéutico.
Poeta birtánico, John Keats nació en Londres el 31 de octubre de 1795. Está considerado como uno de los más grandes poetas románticos en lengua inglesa. Keats quedó huérfano a corta edad y fue criado por tutores que trataron de alejarlo de la literatura y centrarlo en la medicina.
