Seweryn Rzewuski (Polish pronunciation: [sɛˈvɛrɨn ʐɛˈvuskʲi]; 13 March 1743 in Podhorce – 11 December 1811 in Vienna) was a Polish nobleman, writer, poet, general of the Royal Army, Field Hetman of the Crown, Voivode of Podolian Voivodeship and one of the leaders of the Targowica Confederation.
Pierwsze nauki pobierał u warszawskich teatynów. Począwszy od roku 1754, wychowawcą wszystkich młodych Rzewuskich był Louis Antoine Caraccioli i to pod jego czujną opieką przebywali przez niemal 5 lat poza granicami Polski (w latach 1755–1759 odwiedzali kolejno Austrię, Włochy i Francję).
Seweryn Rzewuski ( Pronunciación polaca: [sɛˈvɛrɨn ʐɛˈvuskʲi]; 13 de marzo de 1743 en Podhorce - 11 de diciembre de 1811 en Viena) fue un noble polaco, escritor, poeta, general del ejército real, hetman de campo de la corona, voivoda del voivodato de Podolia y uno de los líderes de la Confederación Targowica.
Pertenece por tanto Rzewuski al mundo europeo en tránsito desde la Ilustración al Romanticismo, marcado por la convulsión de la Revolución Francesa y que busca en Oriente tanto las fuentes de la historia como las huellas perdidas de una racionalidad natural.
