The Bagrationi dynasty ( / bʌɡrʌtiˈɒni /; Georgian: ბაგრატიონი, romanized: bagrat'ioni [baɡɾatʼioni]) is a royal dynasty which reigned in Georgia from the Middle Ages until the early 19th century, being among the oldest extant Christian ruling dynasties in the world.
