Benedict Swingate Calvert (January 27, 1722 – January 9, 1788) was a planter, politician and a Loyalist in Maryland during the American Revolution. He was the son of Charles Calvert, 5th Baron Baltimore, the third Proprietor Governor of Maryland (1699–1751).

He was the son of Charles Calvert, 5th Baron Baltimore, the third Proprietor Governor of Maryland (1699–1751), and may have been the grandson of King George I of Great Britain.
When Benedict Swingate Calvert was born on 27 January 1722, in Walsingham Abbey, Norfolk, England, his father, Charles Benedict Calvert, 5th Baron Baltimore, was 22 and his mother, Petronilla Melusina Von der Schulenburg Countess Of Walsingham, was 28. He married Elizabeth Calvert in 1748. They were the parents of at least 10 sons and 4 daughters.
