ABOUT ME. Hi. I’m Carl Gombrich. This blog contains my personal views and thoughts. In April 2019 I joined a new university The London Interdisciplinary School as Academic Lead and Head of Teaching and Learning. It is a hugely exciting project, building a new sort of interdisciplinary university from scratch.
Prof Carl Gombrich. Carl is the Lead Academic at LIS and oversees curriculum design, teaching, and learning. He was previously a Professorial Teaching Fellow of Interdisciplinary Education at UCL and is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Sir Ernst Hans Josef Gombrich OM CBE FBA (/ ˈ ɡ ɒ m b r ɪ k /; German: [ˈgɔmbʁɪç]; 30 March 1909 – 3 November 2001) was an Austrian-born art historian who, after settling in England in 1936, became a naturalised British citizen in 1947 and spent most of his working life in the United Kingdom.
Carl Gombrich is the Dean, Academic Lead, and Cofounder at The London Interdisciplinary School. Formerly, he was a Professorial Teaching Fellow in Interdisciplinary Education at University College London, and an opera singer. He has published in such journals as European Review, Interdisciplinary Science Reviews, and The World of Music.
