Lübeck Cathedral (German: Dom zu Lübeck, or colloquially Lübecker Dom) is a large brick-built Lutheran cathedral in Lübeck, Germany, and part of the Lübeck World Heritage Site. It was started in 1173 by Henry the Lion as a cathedral for the Bishop of Lübeck .

La catedral de Schleswig (en alemán: Schleswiger Dom; en danés: Slesvig Domkirke ), oficialmente catedral de San Pedro en Schleswig (en alemán: St. Petri-Dom zu Schleswig ), es la iglesia principal de la ciudad de Schleswig y fue la antigua catedral católica del obispado de Schleswig hasta que esa diócesis fue disuelta en 1624.

Lübeck. The cathedral is one of the oldest historical monuments in Lübeck’s Old Town. It was Henry the Lion who laid the foundations to the cathedral on the Southern edge of the Old Town at Mühlenteich. After the city had became a bishop's see in 1160, he launched the construction of the mighty Gothic, three-naved brick building in 1173.
