Elizabeth of Luxembourg ( Hungarian: Luxemburgi Erzsébet; 7 October 1409 – 19 December 1442) was queen consort of Hungary, queen consort of Germany and Bohemia . The only child of Holy Roman Emperor Sigismund, King of Hungary and Bohemia, Elizabeth was expected to ascend his thrones along with her husband, Albert of Austria.

She was the interim regent of Hungary in 1439-1440, and a throne claimant and one of the participants in the Hungarian civil war 1440-1442.
Life. Elisabeth was the only daughter and heiress of John of Görlitz, the third son of Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor. He was Duke of Lusatia and Görlitz, and also Elector of Brandenburg for a brief period. Her mother, Richardis Catherine of Sweden, was the daughter of King Albert of Sweden .

Her father was the last male descent of the House of Luxemburg on the Imperial Throne.
